Barista x Fudr -- Customer Intelligence at Scale

500 stores. Multiple interactions. One connected customer experience.

For Barista, the challenge wasn't reaching more customers.

It was understanding them across the network. With such a wide network, the objectives were clear:

→ Build first-party customer data

→ Grow the loyal customer base

→ Increase customer frequency

→ Understand different customer personas

→ Make marketing more personalised and measurable

So, we built a connected customer layer

1. The Loyalty App — building first-party data

The Barista app became a direct customer touchpoint, helping the brand build its own first-party customer data and understand customer behaviour across the network.

2. Customer Personas — knowing who your customers are

Customer behaviour can be very different.

Fudr helps identify different customer personas and use AI-driven segmentation to create more relevant customer groups.

3. Barista Coffee Pass — creating a reason to return

The Coffee Pass became another engagement touchpoint — designed to encourage customers to visit more frequently and stay connected with the brand.

4. Personalised Marketing — reaching customers differently

Instead of sending the same message to everyone, Barista can use customer segments to create more relevant campaigns at scale.

5. Insights — turning data into decisions

The data doesn't stop at a dashboard.

Fudr helps turn customer behaviour into actionable insights, helping the team understand what's happening and make more informed marketing decisions.

The scale of customer intelligence

6L+ customers 50+ custom attributes & behavioural patterns

Turning customer data into insights that power automated journeys and personalised communication at scale.

What this creates is a connected customer growth engine:

Acquire → Understand → Segment → Engage → Retain

That's what we set out to build with Barista.

A connected customer engine — bringing data, intelligence and engagement together.
